Times of refreshing...
These few days I've been thinking a lot....about many things..
Have also been praying....
And I don't know why I'm writing this but I have a hope for the future..
OK I'm rambling I don't know what I'm saying..
Maybe this would be good, to sort out my thoughts, what is my current state of mind.
As I spend more time to quieten myself down in the midst of everyday stress and the avalanche of tutorials, lectures, class assessments and so on, as I spend more time away from the noise and bustle of the daily grind of work, and tune in to the music of the heavenlies, and as I treasure the time spent with my Lord,I begin to get the bigger picture.
As humans who live in the natural, it is only expected that we have to attend to our present needs. But so many Christians are today suffering from what I'd call spiritual myopia. We know we have been saved, but sometimes we live as though there's no God the trust and believe in. We live in the light of the present, when we should be living in the light of eternity.
A lot of the powerlessness Christians face today stem from one thing, the lack of personal time spent with the Lord. Thus one of my commitments has been to spend more time conciously coming before God to allow Him to renew me.
The Lord has indeed reassured me and shown me new things about my life as well as the youth ministry so far. Its too early to say anything yet, but I'm looking forward to setting aside time daily to seek the face of the Lord, and just simply to enjoy His presence and to feel safe in His arms. That alone is a privilege beyond words.
How wonderful, the richness of God's blessings which he freely gives to His children! How indescribable, to worship the King of kings and glorify Him! He is enthroned in the midst of cherubim and seraphim, yet we are sanctified by Him and we now can approah the altar of Grace with joy and thanksgiving.
Truly Man was made to praise You, Lord. We are not made to worship statues and stones, nor money and possessions, nor grades and achievements, nor human desires, nor Pride, Contempt, Self or Others, but the human heart will only be truly satisfied if it does what it is made for, to praise and worship an everliving God.
Down at Your feet oh Lord
Is the most high place
In your presence Lord
I seek Your face
I seek Your face
There is no higher calling
No greater honour
than to bow and kneel before Your throne
I'm amazed at Your glory
Embraced by Your mercy
Oh Lord
I
LIVE
TO
WORSHIP
YOU
"Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaih 40: 30-31
