Hi I'm back!!
Sorry I haven't blogged in morre than a month but since college term started I've been busy all seven days of the week. Really got no time to blog.
Some updates: I'm now in AJC for first three months, and currently my CCA is not choir, its ODAC. I passed choir auditions and went for a few practices, but found choir didn't really suit me, so I dropped it.
I don't see the point of spending up to 4 hours a day, 4 days a week practicing and straining my vocal chords just to enjoy 5 minutes of applause. Even if AJ Choir has Gold with Honours at SYF and won international competitions, it just isn't right for me. Some people find satisfaction in getting worldwide acclaim at the expense of hours and weeks and months of practice, but not me. I'll just stick to my bathroom singing.
Some other time, I'll explain why I chose ODAC instead and why I think its by far the best CCA in AJC. Not today. Today was cross country and I'm already dead tired (which would explain my crabbiness today). I'm no match for those super atheletes who can complete 4 click at constant acceleration. Got a stich halfway too, like an idiot.
I also signed up for OGF(orientation group facilitator) for orientation 2 but have yet to see if I made it past interview. I'm taking H2 Physics, Maths and Chem, and H1 Econs. My class only has one Zhonghuarian, thats Amanda Chng.
Since I came to AJC a month ago, I have been discovering new sides to my personality I never knew existed before. Not to mention the zillions of friends I made. But all this for another time, cause I'm starting to get cranky now. I need my beauty sleep.
Some revelations I made at AJC:
1. The college looks ready to fall any time. Everything is cracked, the Audi roof has fallen in, the lab equipment is rusting and electrical components have weak contacts.
2. In JC, homework is defined as work you can never finish at home, or school, for that matter.
3. AJcians have little school culture compared to other JCs.
4. the college is also pretty small.
5. Its possible from AJC to tap into the wireless network at NYP, though I haven't tried it.
6. Its by far the most acessible JC for me, I take only 25 mins to travel to school.
7. Some lessons are conducted in container blocks( the kind they use in construction sites to house workers).
8. At the very least, there's peace and quiet there.
More next time. My eyes are going to resemble panda eyes soon.
Tata!
